Electrik kicks
I started with the purple one for my grand daughter, but soon discovered that the frame tubing I used wasn’t sufficient for an adult weight… it got crushed the first time out!
So I designed and fabricated the Electric Green one from recycled bike parts. First improving the length of the deck and then adding a 450w electric front hub motor.
It was fast and fun, but I found the weight of the battery pack, elevated as it was, caused the back end to twist the entire rear end of the scooter sideways during turns.
I built it too low to the ground and with my added weight, the scooter deck bottomed out on speed bumps and made leaning into tight corners impossible.
I have moved on to modding mobility scooters instead. At my age why stand when you can sit.
